Important

About Reverse IP (PTR Records)

A reverse IP (PTR) record maps an IP address back to a domain name. Once configured, receiving mail servers can verify that your sending IP matches your sending domain — a key factor in building reputation and avoiding spam classification.

PTR records must be configured by the data center that owns the IP, on the authoritative DNS side. Users cannot set them directly. To set up a reverse IP, please open a ticket to request it from support and provide the target domain. We will complete the configuration within 1 business day.

Request Process

  1. 1
    Open a Ticket
Submit a ticket from your dashboard with the category "Reverse IP Request" and the target domain.
  2. 2
    Support Review
Our team verifies your server instance and domain ownership to confirm feasibility.
  3. 3
    Data Center Setup
The data center adds the PTR record on authoritative DNS, usually within 1 business day.
  4. 4
    Verify
You will be notified in the ticket. Verify the result with the dig -x command.

Verification Example

dig -x 203.0.113.10 +short

If it returns your target domain, the configuration is live.

FAQ

Why do mail servers need a dedicated IP?
Poor sending behavior from other users on a shared IP pollutes the reputation of the whole IP, causing your legitimate mail to be flagged as spam. A dedicated IP gives you full control over reputation, and combined with reverse DNS and authentication, deliverability improves dramatically.
What is the minimum term?
All dedicated mail servers require a 6-month minimum term. IP reputation takes time to build, so short terms rarely show results — we recommend long-term use.
Can I set up reverse IP myself?
No. PTR records must be configured by the data center that owns the IP on the authoritative DNS side. Please open a ticket with your target domain and we will handle it within 1 business day.
Which email authentication methods are supported?
SPF, DKIM and DMARC are all supported. We help with the initial configuration on setup, and you can request technical support via ticket at any time.
Is port 25 open?
Yes. SMTP port 25 is open by default on all dedicated mail servers — no unblock request needed. You can send and receive mail right away.
Is there a sending limit?
There is no daily sending cap. However, to protect IP reputation we recommend a gradual warm-up strategy for newly provisioned IPs.
How do I check delivery status?
The server provides mail queue and delivery logs, letting you inspect the status, bounce reason and delay of every message in real time.
